A process you can see. Every week.
No black boxes. Here is exactly how a project runs with us, what you get at each stage, and the standards every line of code has to meet.
- 01
1–2 weeks
Discovery
We learn how your business works today, what is slowing it down and what a good outcome looks like. Then we agree on scope before any code is written.
What happens
- Stakeholder interviews and walkthroughs of current workflows
- Review of existing systems, data sources and integrations
- Definition of success metrics and constraints
- Risk assessment, including where AI is and is not a good fit
You receive
- Discovery summary with goals, scope and open questions
- Prioritised feature list for the first release
- Estimate, timeline and engagement proposal
- 02
1–3 weeks
Solution design
We turn the agreed scope into a technical plan and, where needed, interface designs. You review and approve the approach before the build starts.
What happens
- System architecture and data model design
- UX flows and interface designs in Figma
- Selection of models, tools and third-party services
- Sprint plan and definition of done for each milestone
You receive
- Architecture document with written decision notes
- Clickable prototype or approved design files
- Backlog broken into sprints with acceptance criteria
- 03
Typically 4–12 weeks
Build (sprints)
We build in one or two week sprints, demo every week and adjust priorities with you as we learn. You always have access to the code and a staging environment.
What happens
- Feature development in short, reviewed increments
- Weekly demos on a staging environment
- Continuous integration with automated tests on every change
- Backlog refinement and scope trade-offs agreed in writing
You receive
- Working software deployed to staging after each sprint
- Source code in your repository with full history
- Sprint notes covering what shipped and what changed
- 04
Runs alongside the build
Quality & security
Testing and security are part of every sprint, not a phase squeezed in at the end. Before launch we run a final pass to confirm the system is ready for real users.
What happens
- Automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests
- Security review of authentication, permissions and secrets
- Performance and load testing on critical paths
- Evaluation sets for AI agents to check accuracy and guardrails
You receive
- Test suite running in CI
- Security checklist with findings and fixes
- Launch readiness report
- 05
1 week
Launch
We plan the release, ship it with a rollback path ready and stay close while real traffic arrives. Your team gets the documentation and access they need.
What happens
- Production infrastructure and environment setup
- Data migration and cutover planning
- Staged rollout with monitoring and alerting in place
- Handover sessions with your team
You receive
- Live production release
- Runbooks and technical documentation
- Dashboards and alerts configured for your team
- 06
Ongoing
Support & growth
After launch we keep the system healthy and keep improving it based on real usage. You can continue with a retainer or take it fully in-house.
What happens
- Monitoring, incident response and bug fixes
- Dependency and security updates
- Improvements based on usage data and feedback
- New features planned in regular review sessions
You receive
- Monthly report on stability, usage and changes
- Prioritised roadmap for the next period
- Up-to-date documentation as the system evolves
Rituals that keep everyone aligned.
A predictable rhythm, so you never have to chase us for an update.
Once, at the start
Kickoff
We meet the people involved, confirm goals and scope, set up shared channels and agree on how decisions get made. Everyone leaves knowing who does what.
Every week
Weekly demo
A short live session where we show what was built and you try it yourself. Feedback goes straight into the backlog.
Several times a week
Async updates
Short written updates in your Slack or Teams channel covering progress, blockers and questions. You stay informed without extra meetings.
Every 1–2 weeks
Sprint planning
We agree together on what goes into the next sprint and what can wait. Trade-offs are made openly and written down.
Every month
Monthly review
A step back from day-to-day work to look at progress against goals, budget and risks. We adjust the plan if the business has changed.
Quality bar
Standards every change has to meet. No exceptions.
Code quality
- Every change reviewed by a second engineer before it merges
- TypeScript strict mode and linting enforced in CI
- Consistent formatting applied automatically on every commit
- Architecture decisions recorded next to the code
Testing
- Unit tests for business logic and edge cases
- Integration tests for APIs, databases and third-party services
- End-to-end tests for the critical user flows
- Evaluation datasets for AI agents, rerun when prompts or models change
Security
- Dependency scanning in CI with alerts for known vulnerabilities
- Secrets kept in a managed vault, never in the repository
- Least-privilege access for people, services and API keys
- Input validation and rate limiting on every public endpoint
Observability
- Error tracking with alerts routed to the right people
- Structured logs that can be searched by request or user
- Dashboards for latency, error rates and key business events
- Cost and token usage tracking for AI features
